Eric Swalla is the President and owner of Symmetra Advisors LLC. He has over 20 years of investment experience and is a fully licensed securities, investment and insurance advisor representative. He holds a FINRA series 7, and SEC 63 and 65 licenses and is an insurance agent able to provide life, accident, health, and long term care insurance as well as fixed and variable annuities. Eric is an Investment Advisor Representative in Michigan Ohio and is currently pursuing his Certified Financial Planner designation through Northwestern University to further his education as well as his ability to serve his clients needs.
After serving as a Submarine Electronics Technician in the U.S. Navy for four years, Eric studied History and Computer Information Systems at Towson University in Towson, MD where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He began his professional career as a Sales and Marketing Manager for a small electronics contract manufacturer and later found his niche as a Senior Financial Specialist with Wachovia Bank. There he helped small businesses and individuals secure loans, create viable business and financial plans and pursue sound investments. Prior to beginning his own company, Eric also served as an Investment Executive for 5/3 Bank where he focused on individual investors, managing their investment portfolios while helping them plan for their retirement and assets.
Eric resides in Holland, MI with his wife and three children where they enjoy hiking, kayaking and cycling the lakeshore and surrounding trails throughout the year, picking blueberries in the summertime and, in the winter, playing in the snow, lots and lots of snow.
Eric is a committee board member at the Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity Restore and is also a member of the Holland Chamber of Commerce.
